Birds are the most visible and varied species of wildlife on Seabrook Island. Many are dependent on marine life in the ocean, lakes, and lagoons as food sources. Areas of the beach are designated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service as critical habitat. Obey posted signs, and the rules for pets on the beach, and stay off the dunes.
