After nearly four years of traveling and living abroad, my husband Anthony and I fell in love with the charm of Charleston and Seabrook Island, SC. Drawn to Seabrook’s lush landscape, pristine beaches, and exceptional amenities—reminiscent of the Hamptons without harsh winters—we were captivated by its strong community and dedication to preserving timeless beauty. In 2020, we purchased a homesite on Golf Oak Park, where Anthony built our custom home. Since summer 2022, we’ve proudly called Seabrook Island our full-time home. In my free time, I cherish moments with Anthony and our sons, Jack and Gavin, sharing passions for family traditions, food, live music, and travel.
Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, in a family valuing hard work and community contributions, I’m the oldest of five siblings. This close-knit upbringing taught me patience, adaptability, leadership, and collaboration. I prioritize commitment, reliability, and trustworthiness, building lasting relationships in all aspects of life.
I attended Manhattan College, studying Education and English while working jobs from public relations internships to waitressing on a riverboat. After teaching high school English, my passion for events and community connections shifted me to event planning. I met Anthony in 1999, married in 2000, and raised our sons, now at Clemson and the University of South Carolina. This journey reinforces my commitment to nurturing communities like Seabrook Island.
With over 29 years in public relations, marketing, event planning, and real estate—including founding three successful businesses—I bring proven skills to the Board of Directors. As former owner of a luxury business serving the Hamptons, NYC, and Westchester, I honed project and people management, understanding how location, environment, and amenities enhance community value. This aligns with SIPOA’s mission to preserve Seabrook’s charm and elevate quality of life. My background equips me for strategic planning, consensus-building, and representing diverse resident interests.
Since 2020, I’ve served on SIPOA committees: Activities (2021), VOLCOMM (2022), and Long-Range Planning, Communications, and Activities (2023–2024). Currently, I’m on Amenities and Activities, leading a subcommittee for a new facilities guidebook, and on Communications and Master Plan Communications, managing the Master Plan Instagram to engage residents. These roles offer deep insights into governance, priorities, and challenges.
Contributing to Seabrook’s legacy of beauty and spirit is fulfilling. I’m committed to preserving traditions and vibrancy for future generations. My desire to serve on the Board stems from representing shared resident values, ensuring Seabrook Island thrives sustainably. Since making it home, I’ve aimed for the board as a meaningful way!
