Yin Yoga is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. In Yin Yoga, floor-based poses are held passively for 2-5 minutes to target your deep connective tissue. The legs, hips, and lower back are the main benefits of this practice. The more we work on our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become as we age. Movement and stretching hydrates fascia and literally helps slow the aging process.
