I’m a retired marketing professional with 35 years of experience leading marketing, communications, and product management teams in telecommunications, information technology, and healthcare services industries.
Originally from the United Kingdom, I moved to the United States in the late 1980s to attend Emory University’s Business School, where I met my wife, Elizabeth, a Charleston native. We purchased our Seabrook Island home in 2022, and now divide our time between Seabrook’s ocean breezes and the mountain air of Highlands, North Carolina. Previously, we lived in Atlanta, where we raised our two sons, who are both married and pursuing their own careers.
Before retiring, I served as Chief Marketing Officer for BioIQ and held senior positions with Optum, Alere Health, and several technology and telecommunications companies. I was responsible for brand management, product marketing, and marketing programs to drive demand, enable sales, and engage customers.
I currently serve on the Board of Directors for The Peggy Crosby Center in Highlands, NC, which provides non-profits serving the Highlands-Cashiers area with affordable office space. I am also active on committees serving Highlands Falls Country Club, including branding and membership. Previously, I’ve served as treasurer and interim president of the homeowners association Board of Directors for our Atlanta neighborhood.
I earned my MBA from Emory University and a degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Queen Mary College, University of London.
My wife and I enjoy pickleball, golf, and are frequent visitors to the Seabrook Island fitness center. We also love spending time with family and friends, both on the island and in the mountains. I look forward to contributing my leadership and experience to help preserve Seabrook Island’s natural beauty and strengthen the wonderful sense of community that makes the island feel like home.
