Please note, Semi-Private classes are limited to a maximum of 10 participants. Pre-registration is required. There are no drop-ins or refunds. Semi-private classes are not included in the monthly class pass, and the entire class will be charged to your Property Owner/Club account at the time of registration. Semi-private classes are available to Seabrook Island Property Owners, Seabrook Island Club members, and guests staying on Seabrook Island.


 Chair yoga is a gentle form of yoga that can be done sitting on a chair or standing on the ground while using the chair for support.  Benefits of chair yoga include improved flexibility, better concentration, increased strength, a boost to your mood, reduced stress, and joint strain. Whether you are recovering from surgery or looking to find an alternative to the up and down motions of traditional yoga, chair yoga can help. This semi-private series is taught by Natasha Stevens.

 Yin yoga is a slow, soothing, and meditative style of yoga that targets the deep connective tissues, bones, joints, fascia, and ligaments in the body. In Yin Yoga, floor-based poses are held passively for about two to five minutes to work into our connective tissues. The legs, hips, and lower back are the main benefits of this practice. The more we work our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become as we age. Movement and stretching hydrate fascia and literally help slow the aging process. This semi-private series is taught by Natasha Stevens.

Linking Breath with Movement

Practice will be from a place of the beginner’s mind taking time to explore the foundation of the postures. The class will include learning various breathing techniques (pranayama) and postures (asanas) both standing and, on the mat, and end with relaxation (savasana). Guided meditation will also be sprinkled in. Although this class is perfect for beginners it is also an opportunity for any level to take a step back and rediscover the foundation of their practice. This semi-private series is taught by Emmy Marquardt.

When: June 9 – June 30
Time: Thursdays at 4:00 pm
Cost: $60 for the series


 This workshop will begin with some gentle yogic stretching to release tension in the body, a short meditation before moving into creating a vision board, and end with a deep guided meditation called Yoga Nidra.  No prior yoga experience is required.  During Yoga Nidra, you will be lying still on the ground.  The body naturally cools while still, so participants will need to bring enough blankets and pillows to create a comfortable place to rest for approximately 45 minutes while being guided through the Yoga Nidra. This workshop is taught by Emmy Marquardt.

 What is Spin?

Spinning is a group exercise class that focuses on strength, endurance, cardiovascular, and recovery training while on a stationary bike.

Sarah Mae brings her passion for running to class with a mix of high-intensity endurance and cardio-driven rides.

Ever taken a Spin class?

No problem, the great thing about Spin is that you can enjoy the energy of a group class while tailoring the experience to your individual fitness level and goals.  Each rider controls his or her own RPM and resistance.
